This holiday season, SoloPoint Solutions chose to donate our time and resources to help Second Harvest Food Bank.
According to Second Harvest’s website, 1 in 10 people in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties receives assistance from their organization.
Throughout the year, SoloPoint has been reporting of the historical low rates in unemployment, specifically in the Silicon Valley; and yet, hundreds of families still struggle to find where their next meal will be coming from.
As a Bay Area-based company, we know how important it is to give back to the community we serve.
On December 7, 2018, our Northern and Southern California staff, and their significant others, volunteered at Second Harvest’s Cypress Center where we sorted and packed a total of 13,750 lbs of grapefruits. We also donated $1,000 which provides up to 2,000 meals to families in the Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.
Moving forward, SoloPoint Solutions will continue to support the efforts of Second Harvest in building a hunger-free community.
