According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, California ranks second in most hiring increase in 2014. As a premier resource of engineering staffing in California, SoloPoint Solutions saw this increase reflected in its number of placements for 2014.
Although data from the BLS reflects job creation and hiring across all professions and skills sets, SoloPoint experienced strong increases in its technical specialization – Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering.
For companies in the San Francisco Bay Area and Orange County, both contract placements and permanent placements saw significant increases. SoloPoint had the highest number of permanent placements since its conception in 2006.
For SoloPoint in 2014:
- Placements for engineering professionals increased by 39% over 2013.
- Placements for Mechanical Engineering positions increased by 95%.
- In the Bay Area, industries with the most increases are – Medical Devices (70%), Telecommunications (67%) and Biotechnology (62%).
- In Southern California, increases were in Aerospace (75%), and Consumer Electronics (68%).
